Below are dog and cat rescue and rehabilitation stories. Stray and wounded animals find medical care and loving homes. We can't rescue all of them, but we can and do make a difference. A lot more is possible with the transformative power of human care and community support. Thank you.
Donut

Transform Lives Like Donut's!
Donut (named by my daughter) is an 8 year old street dog that I saw every day on the way to my kids school. She lived on the street along the cars. I tried to stop many times to feed her or to catch her but she was very scared of people and would run away. Eventually I hired a dog catcher to catch her. She was starved, dehydrated and with severe skin issues. I had her transported to a veterinarian, where she spent 3 weeks.
She has completely changed; she is friendly and happy and has a very good appetite. Her skin has healed, she grew fur and she went to live in a shelter. She will never need to live on the street or desperately search for food ever again. For $230, we were able to completely turn her life around.

Kitten N.N.
A 4 month old kitten N.N.
had developed a terrible infection behind his eye to the point that his eyeball had popped out of the eye socket.
The owner could not afford to take him to the vet and the problem got worse and worse until the kitten was screaming in pain. We told her that we would pay for the treatment and she took the kitten in immediately. N.N. spent 3 days at the vet and had his eye surgically removed. The infection was too advanced to save the eye. The vet also gave him all the vaccinations and neutered him. He has recovered very well and, although he only has one eye, his owner says he is very happy. This cost us about $200, the cost of his happiness.

Transform Lives with Love and Medicine!
This puppy was found in a terrible condition, her skin dry and covered in infection, her eyes were oozing pus. With some love and medicine this puppy has completely recovered thanks to the tireless work of Natalia, the local rescue worker I partner with.

Sunny
Sunny's Journey out of the rice field!
Sunny, a puppy, was found by a Balinese rescue worker Natalia, in the area of Bali called Tabenan, in the rice fields. Her frail body and downcast eyes betrayed a history of homelessness and lack of care. Fortunately, she was rescued and taken to receive the medical care she needed. Sunny gradually regained her weight, her fur grew back and became shiny and she regained her playful spirit. She is now a happy and healthy puppy, learning to trust humans again. Sunny is ready for her forever home and is eagerly awaiting adoption by a loving family.
